Drinking water is a critical resource that everyone needs. If elected I will take this position with the greatest of importance and care. I feel I have the skills necessary based on my many years in corporate technology, operations management, private practice technology consulting, and most recently, water science testing. I am forward thinking with a focus on long term strategic planning and goals as I care deeply about the future. I am well versed with the importance of fighting environmental contaminants that could pollute our drinking water. In 2012 if you remember we saw 80 foot, very smelly, oil leaching utility poles go up in our beautiful town. I researched this chemical and its history then fought to have (PCP) PentaChloroPhenol and PCP Utility Poles banned. I worked closely with the Town of North Hempstead to protect the citizens against this chemical. After many years of hard work PCP was finally phased out in 2021 by the EPA due to its risk to drinking water. I was given numerous awards by the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County Legislature, State of New Your Assembly, New York State Senate, New York State Comptroller, U.S House of Representatives and Residents Forward for my environmental leadership work. Recently I have helped to create the first Port Washington Citizen Science Water Testing program with Transition Town Port Washington. The program has been a great success. I am a member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce and Residents Forward. I play guitar and give back to the community though musical charitable concerts for Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and Karmaque. I am a volunteer at the Landmark on Main Street as well as CancerCare Port Washington. I have served on the Board of Trustees for the American Cancer Society and St Maria Goretti High School. I was the Program Manager for the Nassau Comptroller's Environmental Advisory Committee. I also served as a member and technology support to Manhasset Bay Protection Committee. My business is a donor sponsor for Party in the Park, Pride in Port and Harborfest. I donate to the Port Washington Fire Department, Baxter’s Pond Foundation and other organizations in town.
